Bife à Inglesa

^^ :D!!

Ora bem, já era para ter feito este post há algum tempo, mas como não houve ocasião (ou então foi da preguiça...), faço-o agora num instantinho. ^^
Claro que agora tem outro sabor, lol :)

Convido-vos a fazerem um exercício de brainstorming bastante divertido. Pensem em expressões que os portugueses costumem utilizar e traduzam-nas à letra para Inglês. ^^
Aqui vão algumas dessas brilhantes frases e as respectivas traduções literais (muito a desejar :D)!


  1. "O que tu queres sei eu" -> what you want I know
  2. "São todos farinha do mesmo saco" -> you're all flour from the same bag
  3. "Tu queres é bifes" -> what you want is steaks (Esta vem mesmo a calhar!!)
  4. "Estás aqui, estás a levar" -> You're here, you're taking
  5. "São histórias do arco da velha" -> they're stories from the old lady's arch
  6. "Vai dar uma volta ao bilhar grande" -> go give a turn to the big pool
  7. "Vai ver se estou na esquina" -> go see if I'm at the corner
  8. "Quem pode, pode; quem não pode, manda" -> you can, can; you can't, commands
  9. "Toma lá que já almoçaste" -> Take it there that you had lunch
  10. "Não te armes em carapau de corrida" -> Don't arm yourself in a running woodface
  11. "Querias? Batatas com enguias" -> Did you want it? Potatoes and eels
  12. "Isto não é a casa da mãe Joana" -> This is not the house of mother Joana
  13. "Não sou pai de filhos" -> I'm not a son's father
  14. "Pão, pão; queijo, queijo" -> bread, bread; cheese, cheese
  15. "É canja" -> it's chicken soup
  16. "Vai no Batalha" -> it goes on the battle
  17. "Veio do c* dos franceses" -> it came from the french's as*/jelly/but*/bottom
  18. "Fogo! Raios partam" -> Fire! Rays/Lightnings break it
  19. "Bolas!" -> Balls
  20. "Pareces um burro a olhar para um palácio" -> You look like a donkey looking to a palace
  21. "Foi por uma unha negra" -> it was for a black nail
  22. "Vai pentear macacos" - > Go comb monkeys
  23. "Vai mas é fazer colheres de pau" -> go but is make spoons of wood
  24. "Línguas da perguntadora" -> tongues of the one who asked
  25. "Não é flor que se cheire" -> That is not a flower to be smelled
  26. "Estás a pedi-las" -> you're asking for them
  27. "Não mandes vir (comigo)" -> Don't order (with me)
  28. "Dar à luz" -> give to the light
  29. "É pior que alimentar um burro a pão-de-ló" -> It's worse that feeding a donkey with bread of Ló (correctamente seria sponge cake :P)
  30. "Macaquinho de imitação" -> Little monkey of imitation
  31. "Foi de caixão à cova" -> it was from the coffin to the grave
  32. "Foi para os anjinhos" -> it went to the little angels
  33. "Ficar a ver estrekas" -> Stay seeing stars



Sem tradução (ainda à procura e aceito traduções):
"Rés-bés campos de Ourique"
"Carago"

Isto também serve para pensar em algumas expressões que existem e que até são bastante caricatas. ^^

Vai um bifinho? Com sumo de laranja a acompanhar? E depois? Uma mousse? Ou será caipirinha? =X
