Encontrei este vídeo na Reuters.com e achei-o pertinente. Em época de preocupação e consternação em relação ao ambiente, volta-se à questão do domínio dos pólos.

Tenho seguido o blog Discursos do Outro Mundo , um blog ligado ao Público Online. O blog é da autoria de um professor meu da licenciatura e versa principalmente a temática do Second Life. Vale a pena irem ver o blog e pensarem sobre o que lá está e, principalmente, sobre o referido jogo/plataforma. Eu considero algo discrepante ter aulas dentro de uma plataforma como o Second Life, mas isso pode ser uma opinião solitária. Quando à jogabilidade e a tão falada imersividade da mesma, passo. Não consigo andar lá horas e horas, quanto mais ter cadeiras assim. Nem toda a gente gosta do Second Life. Nem toda a gente se adapta bem a ter que passar horas e horas no Second Life. Adiante... Fica a dica para irem ao blog, porque é realmente interessante.

O Flickr e a HP criaram uma nova ferramenta, acessível a partir da galeria de cada um, o Photo Cube. Permite aos utilizadores criarem um cubo com fotos da galeria e gravarem o PDF para posterior impressão. Pena que nesta versão, há sempre uma face que fica em branco! Mas creio que se resolva em breve, até porque há outros "Photo cubes" online, de período experimental gratuito.

Ando cansada com tanta divagação à volta do caso Maddie McCann. A actuação da PJ desde logo teve grande falhas (e falta de examinação imediata do apartamento, a falta de examinação dos veículos, etc.). Não há porque andarmos a "atirar" culpas de um lado para o outro, se todos aqui falharam. Os pais falharam ao deixar os filhos sozinhos - ainda por cima num país estrangeiro e num sítio movimentado como o Algarve. A PJ falhou nas averiguações - foram demasiado parcas e cheias de lacunas. A imprensa falha todos os dias ao deitar achas na fogueira e ao tirar toda a credibilidade aos factos - ainda que "pseudo". As pessoas em geral falham ao apontar o dedo aos outros. When will promises of a greener Apple bear fruit? Scientific tests, arranged by Greenpeace, reveal that Apple's iPhone contains hazardous chemicals. The tests uncovered two types of hazardous substances, some of which have already been eliminated by other mobile phone makers. In May, due to our successful Green my Apple campaign Steve Jobs, the boss of Apple, claimed: "Apple is ahead of, or will soon be ahead of, most of its competitors" on environmental issues. We watched closely when the iPhone was launched in June for any mention of the green features of the phone from Apple. There was none. So we bought a new iPhone in June and sent it our Research Laboratories in the UK.
