Fate and dreams

Morpheus: Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.

I'm normally a "Neo" kind of person because not only do I not believe in fate, but I also share the "not in control" part. Except maybe when something bad happens. My way of dealing with it I guess. Maybe it's better to think - "There was nothing I could do..." - rather than - "It was probably my fault...".
I don't know...

Morpheus: Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

Well, you wouldn't really... I mean, who knows, maybe we are all in this huge dream that we can't possibly get out of. If we are, be on the lookout for strange people with strange messages. Maybe they'll give you the choice between a blue and red pill...
